I was born in Phoenix, AZ where I spent the first 27 years of my life. I moved to the Denver area in 2005 to purse cooler, more enjoyable weather. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering in 2001. In 2011, I graduated from Colorado State University with a Master's in Computer Science. I'm also rather tall at 6'7".
I work full time as a software developer for WebFilings in the Denver Tech Center area. I've spent the last 12 years using Microsoft C#, SQL Server, and largely ASP.NET. Currently I'm working with Adobe Flex, Python, and Google App Engine. In my spare time I learn various programming languages and frameworks. I am listed as an "inventor" on a U.S. Patent which my mom thinks is pretty cool.
Just For Fun
In addition to constantly trying to learn new languages I like to take photos, snowboard in the winter, and recently started brewing beer. Colorado offers some of the best opportunities for snowboarding, photography, and beer drinking/making. The photo above is a personal favorite I took while coming home from Breckenridge. My wife and I picked up snowboarding in 2010 and we both wish we'd tried it sooner. Now that I have a daughter the camera is pointed at her and the other two don't seem to happen!
